The Le Nôtre Box
The original model, which once adorned the most distinguished parks of the 17th and 18th centuries, is available in seven sizes, but we can also produce to your specifications (quote on request).
Reinforced and Removable Panels
The Douglas wood panels (naturally Class 3) are reinforced by steel bars and are removable to allow for regular root pruning. Acacia is offered as an option.
Grated Bottom
The grated base provides optimal drainage, essential for the health of the trees.
Reinforced Vertical Posts
With a steel belt for superior structural integrity, especially for plants with invasive root systems such as palms.
Pine Cones
As a finishing touch for the orangery box, pine cones are cast in steel.

Why the Le Nôtre Orangery Box?
Simply put, it is a tribute to André Le Nôtre, gardener to King Louis XIV, who became known as the “King of Gardeners”!
He elevated the jardin à la française to its rightful prestige.

On Measurements (Historic Reference)
Measure of the Toise of the Châtelet, after 1688:
1 toise = 1.949 meters
1 pied = 32.5 cm
1 pouce = 2.7 cm
Legend has it the foot was based on the length of Charlemagne’s foot (thus he must have had very large feet…).
